PaperWeek Canada, the annual meeting of the Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada (PAPTAC) held in Montreal Feb. 3-6, 2014, saw over 1,100 delegates take part. The 2014 edition marked the 100th anniversary of the event, making it the longest running annual meeting of the industry globally.

The number represents a record attendance over the past six years. Over 250 participants from mills were also registered for the event, making the event one of the best industry events in the world ratio-wise, according to PAPTAC. It added that the PaperWeek trade show was sold out, with close to 50 exhibitors present to showcase their services and technology.
