PaperWeek Canada releases more program details

Technical sessions covering key pulp and paper processes will continue to be part of PaperWeek Canada, in addition to the event’s keynote speakers and dedicated tracks on management, safety, market pulp, packaging, reliability, tissue and converting.

The technical sessions will cover bleaching, mechanical pulping, kraft pulping, papermaking, dissolving pulp and environment.

PaperWeek Canada, organized by PAPTAC, runs from Feb. 1-5 in Montreal. An international conference for the forest-based bioeconomy, Biofor International, will be held in conjunction with the 2016 PaperWeek event.

Within the PaperWeek format, PAPTAC is launching PulpEx, a full-day conference on the market pulp sector. Under the leadership of Carol Lapointe, mill manager, Domtar Kamloops, and Steve Pelletier, mill manager, Resolute FP St-Félicien, PulpEx will bring together experts, best practices and the latest news and trends in the market pulp sector. The program will feature presentations about both the business and the operations sides of the pulp industry.

Two more keynote speakers have also been announced: Carman Allison, vice-president of consumer insights, Nielsen Canada, and Nancy Marcus, corporate vice-president marketing, Kruger Products.
