The International Forest Biorefinery Symposium is now an established tradition at PaperWeek, featuring an important forest biorefinery program and the leading experts in the field. The Biorefinery Symposium will take place Feb. 3-4 at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth in Montreal.

Donald Smith, director and CEO of BioFuelNet Canada, will make a keynote presentation about BioFuelNet and the conversion of forest biomass.

Another keynote speaker for the symposium is Gerd Unkelbach, project group manager with the Fraunhofer Center for Chemical-Biotechnological Processes CBP, Leuna, Germany. The topic of discussion will be the German BioEconomy Cluster.
