The Forest Biorefinery Summit is accepting submissions for oral and poster presentations. This international gathering attracts key players from the forest, bioeconomy and chemical sectors , as well as representatives from governments, academia and research institutes.

The Forest Biorefinery Summit is held in conjunction with PaperWeek Canada, a conference and trade show hosted by PAPTAC. It will take place during the week of February 2-5, 2015, at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal.

Organized by an international committee, the summit will feature:
– Oral presentations by industry experts;
– A panel on market access for forest-based bioproducts and biomaterials;
– Keynote presentations;
– A poster session as part of a networking event.

Abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations will be accepted until September 29, 2014. Please send an abstract of 300 words maximum to Mariya Marinova at m.marinova@polymtl.ca. Topics of interest for submission include: biorefinery resources and supply chain; biorefining technologies; bioproducts and biomaterials; market perspectives; sustainability of the forest biorefinery; building links between the forest and the chemical industry. 

The organizing committee for the Summit consists of Mariya Marinova (Polytechnique Montréal), Peter Axegård (Innventia – Sweden), Marzouk Benali (Natural Resources Canada), Lyle Biglow (Tembec), Tom Browne (FPInnovations), Jamal Chaouki (Polytechnique Montreal),
Adriaan van Heiningen (University of Maine – USA).
