Gerry Gaetz has joined the Board of Directors of Fortress Paper Ltd. and will serve on the company’s audit and compensation committees.
Fortress Paper is a producer of dissolving pulp and security papers, including banknote, passport, visa and other brand protection and security papers.
Gaetz is currently president and CEO of the Canadian Payments Association, where he is responsible for leading the modernization of Canada’s core national payments infrastructure. Prior to joining the CPA in 2013, Mr. Gaetz held a number of executive roles at the Bank of Canada, including chief of currency. In such role, he spearheaded the launch of Canada’s new polymer banknote series and retail payments-related economic research.
Fortress Paper also announced that Richard O’C. Whittall retired from the Board effective January 4, 2016. Whittall has been a member of the Board since 2007.
