This year’s attendance of 350 surpasses last year’s total of 280. About 50 of the attendees are spouses, but more importantly for organizers, about 80 attendees are employees of pulp and paper mills.

Conference chairman Stew Gibson of Catalyst Paper attributes the higher attendance to PacWest’s growing reputation among the pulp and paper community.

The PacWest trade show sold out its 20 available spots.
