Supremex acquires Premier Envelope

December 2, 2015  By Cindy Macdonald

Canada’s largest manufacturer and marketer of stock and custom envelopes, Supremex, is growing again, with the acquisition of Premier Envelope Ltd. and its affiliated operating entities. Premier Envelope is a manufacturer of stock and custom envelopes, principally operating in Western Canada.

“Premier Envelope is a tier-one envelope supplier with outstanding manufacturing capabilities and strong complimentary customer relationships to Supremex’ existing customer base in Western Canada,” said Stewart Emerson, president & CEO of Supremex. Emerson said the transaction raises the company’s manufacturing capabilities in Western Canada and unlocks capacity in Eastern Canada to support a growth strategy in the United States.

Premier Envelope employs approximately 70 people and has two principal manufacturing locations in Richmond, B.C. and Edmonton. It also operates a satellite plant in Mississauga, Ont.
