A rejected appeal has left forestry company Kruger content and the Betsiamites Innu blistering.

The Quebec Court of Appeal dismissed a request by the Innu that sought to prevent Kruger from harvesting burnt timber on Rene-Levasseur island. Kruger has pushed for the need to harvest the damaged wood quickly, so as to make use of the material before it becomes rotten or infested with insects.
