AbitibiBowater has completed the sale of its Snowflake, AZ mill. For roughly $161 million, AbitibiBowater sold the facility to a subsidiary of Catalyst Paper. The mill has an annual production capacity of roughly 375,000 tonnes of newsprint. The sale was approved by the U.S. Department of Justice, in order to comply with the requirements that were established for the Abitibi/Bowater merger.

AbitibiBowater plans to use the capital from the sale for general corporate purposes.
