AbitibiBowater has brought forward a new proposal to employees at its Grand Falls-Windsor paper mill. According to a report by Canadian Press, the new version of the initially rejected proposal includes concessions and commits to delaying layoffs until May 2009.

Members of the Communications, Energy and Paperworks union rejected the first proposal earlier this fall, which laid out a plan to cut 171 jobs at the facility. According to CP, members now have until November 7 to respond to the new proposal.
