Ainsworth Lumber is extending a shutdown at its Grand Rapids, MN OSB plant.

The facility, originally scheduled to go back online on May 11 following a 35-day closure, won’t resume production until problems with newly installed hydraulic components are resolved. The company anticipates the plant will start up again, with a limited capacity, on May 24.

The plant was originally shut down to make extensive repairs to the press equipment.
