NORWOOD, MA — Servomex Company Inc.’s continuous emissions analyzer, the Xentra 4900C, simultaneously monitors carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and oxygen in a flue-gas stream. The 19-in. 3U rack-mounted instrument can also measure so-called greenhouse gases (GHGs) like methane and nitrous oxide. This is possible because the new instrument can be fitted with the company’s Ir1520 miniature infrared transducer. As well, the analyzer is packaged with a software — common to all Xentra 400 series gas analyzers — that produces independent auto-calibration readings for each measurement. “This is a major advance in continuous monitoring as it is possible to calibrate the transducer [that is] monitoring one of the gases for which the transducer is configured, while the others continue to operate normally,” the company says.
