“I am excited to have the opportunity to serve our association,” said Putzke. “It is critical that we focus on providing one voice for Alberta’s forest products industry, finding innovative ways to create new products and services, and continuing to partner with the Government of Alberta to be good stewards of our forests.”

AFPA president and CEO Brady Whittaker welcomed Putzke to the position. “Mike brings valuable industry experience and considerable integrity to the position. I look forward to working with him and our board to continue the progress that we have made.”

Putzke replaces Jim LeLacheur as AFPA Chair. LeLacheur will remain with Association’s executive in the role of Past Chair.

The Alberta Forest Products Association is a private, non-profit industry organization, representing lumber, panelboard, pulp and paper, and secondary manufacturing wood products companies operating in Alberta.
