ANDRITZ acquires machine vision specialist Procemex, expands automation port

ANDRITZ has acquired Procemex, a Finnish company specializing in integrated web monitoring and web inspection solutions for the pulp and paper industry.

The company shares in a press statement that this acquisition further strengthens its automation and digitalization portfolio. The integration of Procemex solutions reportedly complements ANDRITZ’s portfolio of intelligent instruments that enable customer mills to operate more efficiently and more autonomously.

Jarno Nymark, ANDRITZ executive board member responsible for the pulp and paper business area, says, “Procemex’s advanced solutions perfectly complement our product portfolio for improving plant operations in the pulp and paper industry.
