Andritz has received an order to supply the Taigang Group with an annealing and pickling cold-rolled strip. With an annual capacity of 500,000 tonnes, the plant will be installed at Iron and Steel Co, Ltd., in Taiyuan Shanxi, China.
Andritz will assume responsibilities for engineering, delivery and start-up of the machines and plants to be supplied. Sundwig GmbH, Hemer, Germany will provide the mechanical equipment, which is part of the Andritz Rolling Mills and Strip Processing Lines Business Area. Andritz AG, Vienna, Austria, will supply the pickling section.
Delivery of the equipment is scheduled for the spring of 2005. The first strip is anticipated to be produced on January 30, 2006.
