Atlas Paper Mill products has a green stamp of approval. Green Seal has certified several of the company’s tissue brands that comply with its environmental and performance requirements. The certification states that Atlas complies with the standards set for 2-ply, 1-ply and jumbo rolls of tissue paper.

Green Seal certification confirms that Atlas tissue products are produced with 100% recycled fibres, meet EPA guidelines for post-consumer waste, and adhere to quality control standards in the paper manufacturing process.

“Atlas has been using 100% recycled wastepaper and fibre since its founding in 1982,” Ed Gagliardi, executive vice president of sales and marketing. “In essence, Atlas was born Green, but has worked hard and invested significant resources in taking the additional steps required to ensure that we meet the stringent Green Seal manufacturing process standards.”

The company’s manufacturing process doesn’t use chlorine and consumes minimal amounts of water and energy. Compliant with EPA air pollution regulations, Atlas recycles all corrugated, polyethylene and plastic materials used in its manufacturing and distributions processes. It also reclaims the by-product of its de-inking process to be used as fertilizer.
