Blanchette moves to Minister of Forestry for Quebec

August 29, 2016  By Cindy Macdonald

A cabinet shuffle in Quebec brings Luc Blanchette to the post of Minister of Forestry, Wildlife and Parks. Blanchette was formerly the minister responsible for mines.

Laurent Lessard has been moved from the forestry portfolio to succeed Jacques Daoust as the new Minister of Transport, Sustainable Mobility and Transportation Electrification.

Daoust announced his departure from provincial politics, following revelations about the sale of Rona, a Quebec hardware retailer, to an American company.
