Boise Paper has communicated its intent to increase pressure-sensitive paper production by an additional 50,000 tonnes by the end of 2006. This augmentation will push production over 150,000 tonnes. The company has also launched a review to identify the best means of expanding production in such a way that it will meet global customer demand beyond the year 2006. The review is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2005 and will select alternatives that include rebuilding an existing 250" machine for pressure-sensitive paper production.
