Boise, ID Boise Cascade is preparing to sell its paper and timber assets to a private investment group. The $3.2 billion cash transaction indicates the conclusion of the company’s restructure, making the move from a manufacturing company to a distribution-based business.
Donning a new name and location, the revamped Boise will be called OfficeMax and will set up its head office shop in Itasca, Chicago. The sale should be completed by November.
