Buckman increases prices for all product offerings globally

September 30, 2021  By P&PC Staff

Buckman has announced that it is increasing the prices of all its product offerings globally by 15 to 20 percent. The price increases are effective from October 1, or as customer contracts allow.

Buckman adds that price increases will vary according to geographic region, solutions offered and the markets it serves. Where local conditions necessitate additional adjustments, the price increase may be higher.

The company notes in a statement that the chemical industry has seen immense price increases globally for primary feedstocks including crude oil, propylene, ethylene, natural gas, acrylonitrile, methanol, packaging, steel, aluminum and ammonia, in the past year. Significant global supply chain disruption, strong global demand and multiple natural disasters in North America have added to the pressure driving up raw material prices. Buckman is unable to solely absorb the strain caused by these external factors that have led to cost escalations.

Buckman added that its goal is to minimize the impact of these cost increases.
