Buckman announced that it is increasing the prices of all its product lines globally. The pricing change will come into effect from April 1 or as customer contracts allow.
The price increases will depend on the geographic region, solutions offered and market(s) served. If local conditions necessitate additional adjustments, then the increases may be higher in those regions.
In a statement released by the company, Buckman explained that these unprecedented price increases are due to the additional market increases for raw materials, energy, packaging, fuel and logistics costs. The cost pressure currently prevailing in the market is unlike anything that has been seen in the history of the specialty chemical sector. Buckman notes that proper price management will ensure a continued supply of its products to its existing customer base.
