Canfor is taking downtime at its Plateau sawmill in Vanderhoof, BC, due to poor market conditions.

Canfor is taking downtime at its Plateau sawmill in Vanderhoof, BC, due to poor market conditions.

Starting May 7, the facility will be out of operation until May 25. The planer mill will remain up and running for roughly one and a half weeks for inventory management purposes.

The curtailment will effectively remove approximately 25 million board feet of lumber production from the market.
