Cascades Tissue is also making an investment in a de-inking facility, only south of the border. The company is putting $15 million into its mill in Memphis, TN.

A combination of new equipment with other equipment the company acquired in Hagerstown last September, the new de-inking line will allow the company to offer tissue products that contain 100% recycled post-consumer waste.

The plant will get its supply of raw materials solely from recycled sorted office papers, and will use a chlorine-free bleaching process.
