Cascades is selling the sanitation products distribution and chemical products manufacturing assets of its Wood Wyant subsidiary. For roughly $23.2 million, an ancillary of Victoriaville-based Groupe Sani-Marc is buying them. Distribution operations will continue under the same name, and none of the 270 people employed by the subsidiary will lose their jobs.

Cascades’ decision to extract from sanitation product distribution aligns with what is has defined as its strategic goals, which include focusing on the operations of its core sectors, namely the manufacturing and processing of tissue paper and packaging products.
