When completed in the second quarter of 2002, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 70 000 tonnes of crystal sodium chlorate. It will use Kvaerner Chemetics’ proprietary process technology, common to Nexen Chemicals’ nine facilities worldwide, including those in Nanaimo, BC, Bruderheim, AB, and Beauharnois, QC.
