Chip dumper collapses at Mercer Celgar mill

A chip dumper collapsed at the Mercer Celgar kraft pulp mill in Castlegar, BC on October 6.

According to Castlegar News, Mercer Celgar spokesperson Rose Leslie said no one was injured. Mercer Celgar is on a maintenance shutdown until October 19.

WorkSafe BC, the provincial workers’ compensation board, is onsite investigating the cause of the accident.
