Pope & Talbot has announced the closing of the acquisition of the Fort St. James sawmill from Canfor Corporation has been delayed to accommodate the provincial government of British Columbia’s desire to involve First Nations in a discussion regarding any forest management risk associated with the sale.

It is expected that this process will take 60 days, at which point the close of the transaction will be announced.
