Avrim Lazar of FPAC and Kathy Buckman of Buckman are among the speakers lined up for PaperWeek Canada, the annual conference of the Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada. Online registration for the three-day event is now open at PaperWeek Canada.

Held in Montreal from Feb. 1-3, the event will combine PAPTAC’s traditional technical sessions with business sessions presented by FPInnovations, KPMG, Cascades, Natural Resources Canada, and Hydro-Québec.

Among several new features, the event will include a 2-1/2 day symposium on the forest biorefinery with presentations from top experts in the field.

Forest Products Association of Canada CEO Avrim Lazar will present the results of the second Biopathway Study, and Kathy Buckman, chairman of Buckman, will speak as part of Buckman’s Luncheon Session on Sustainability on Tuesday, Feb. 1.

The Honorable Christian Paradis, Minister of Natural Resources Canada, is invited to speak at the luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 2.
