A contract worker has died after a scaffolding accident at a pulp mill in Hinton, Alberta on October 5.
According to the CBC, the province’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) agency is investigating the incident at West Fraser’s Hinton Pulp mill.
OHS has issued a stop work order for AlumaSafway, a scaffolding contractor, citing inadequate fall protection.
The worker, Norman Hatami, was erecting scaffolding for the mill’s maintenance work when the incident occurred.
