OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Fife Corp. says its CDP-01 digital processor gives operators greater versatility and control of web-guiding processes, while increasing productivity and reducing waste. Among the digital processor’s features is auto setup, which automatically selects the guide polarity, adjusts the sensor guide point and sets the system’s gain. The processor’s control panel uses a multi-function bar graph, which displays the actual position of the web within the proportional band of the sensor during normal operations. The unit adapts to any Fife electromechanical servo motor without the need to change hardware or operator switch settings. As well, it can be configured to line, single edge, either edge or centre guiding applications, depending on the sensor that is selected.
