MONTREAL, QC — Domtar Inc. has once again been invited to become part of the Dow Jones Sustainability Group Index (DJSGI) — the only Canadian forest-products company joining its ranks. “Domtar is the sustainability leader among the paper producers, and industry group where the concept of sustainability plays a prominent role,” said Raymond Royer, Domtar president and chief executive officer. “It is a great honor for all Domtar employees to have a prestigious international organization recognize our efforts to combine financial performance with ethical, environmental and social responsibility,” added Royer, referring to SAM sustainability group, the Zurich-based rating agency for the Index. The Index selects 200 companies from among 2800 worldwide registered in the Dow Jones Global Index, and includes only companies that take into account ethical, environmental and social criteria in their decision-making process.
