D’Amours to lead communications at Cascades

Hugo D’Amours has joined packaging and tissue producer Cascades as vice-president, communications and public affairs.

Hugo D’Amours has joined packaging and tissue producer Cascades as vice-president, communications and public affairs.

Until last fall, D’Amours was director of media relations for Quebec Premier Jean Charest. “Hugo seemed to be the ideal person to join us as we undergo significant changes, and to continue to promote the innovative and sustainable nature of the company,” said Alain Lemaire, president and CEO of Cascades.

During a 15-year career, he has developed solid expertise in communications and public relations, says Cascades.

Lemaire also thanked D’Amours’ predecessor, Hubert Bolduc, for his eight years of dedicated service.

Founded in 1964, Cascades produces, converts and markets packaging and tissue products that are composed mainly of recycled fibres.
