Dr. Heidi Fagerholm to leave Kemira

Dr. Fagerholm, chief technology officer and member of the management board, will leave the company to take up the position of Head of Advanced Technologies of PM-Performance Materials division of Merck KGaA. She will continue in her current position and as a member of the Kemira management board until the end of the month at the latest.

Kemira says it has started the process of finding a successor to lead its global R&D and Technology function, including more than 250 scientists and professionals in three global R&D centres in Finland, the U.S. and China.

“I want to thank Heidi for continuously bringing new innovations and new sustainable technologies to our valued customers. Kemira has more than quadrupled its innovation sales during Heidi’s tenure. I wish her best of success with her new challenges,” said Jari Rosendal, company president and CEO.
