Dumontier re-elected Chairman, three new Councillors

Marie A. Dumontier has been re-elected Chairman of PAPTAC for 2008. Marie is Corporate Director of Environment, Health and Safety for Fraser Paper in Thurso, QC.

To succeed retiring Councillors who have completed their terms of office are Dr. Julie Giasson (Mill Manager, Cascades East Angus, East Angus), Dr. Martin Fairbank (Manager, Technology, AbitibiBowater, Montreal) and Patrice Mangin (Centre intgr en ptes et papier CIPP) They will serve as new members of the Executive Council for 2008-2010.

Retiring from the Executive Council are Guy Martin (Domtar, Montreal) and Dr. Yonghao Ni (UNB, Fredericton).

Continuing their terms as Councillors are Andr Bernier (President, SFK Pte S. E. N. C., Montreal), Terry Gerhardt (VP Operations, Minas Basin Pulp & Power, Hantsport), Donald A. Olson (Process Engineering Superintendent, Cariboo Pulp & Paper Company, Quesnel), Gerry Pageau (Senior Process Engineer, Howe Sound Pulp & Paper Partnership, Port Mellon) and Yves L’Italien (Paper Mill Operations Leader, Irving Tissue, Toronto).
