Dynatrol introduces density systems for measurement of pulp and paper chemicals

February 25, 2019  By P&PC Staff

February 25, 2019 – Dynatrol has introduced density systems that maintain accurate and continuous measurement of density, specific gravity or per cent concentration in-line or in vessels at process conditions.

Applications for the pulp and paper industry include caustic soda, and pulp slurry additives.

The Dynatrol Density Cell meets the needs of harsh industrial environments and is available in corrosion-resistant materials with broad temperature and pressure ratings. The cells are weather-tight and approved for most hazardous area classifications such as CL I, divisions 1 and 2. There are no motors, bearings, spindles or moving parts to maintain, which provides and ensures a virtually wear-free and long operating life.

Dynatrol’s Digital Density Converter has an on-board microcontroller and is preprogrammed and calibrated. The software provided with the converter can display corrected gravities – using the density and temperature information generated by the cell. A two-line LCD displays temperature, density, corrected gravity, product frequency and status information.
