Boston, MAFrost & Sullivan has named Emerson Process Management the 2004 Process Control and Automation Customer Value Enhancement award recipient.

The award is presented annually to a company in the process control and automation sector that has best demonstrated the ability to expand its customer base while continuing to maintain its existing base through value creation and enhancement strategies. The award also takes into consideration sales growth, customer acquisition and service strategies.

Sathyajit Rao, team leader and industry analyst for Frost & Sullivan was impressed with Emerson’s ability to excel in each category of consideration. "Emerson introduced the PlantWeb digital plant architecture in recognition of the potential for manufacturers to drive cost savings and plant efficiency through use of intelligent field devices based on Foundation fieldbus technology," he said. "The fact that PlantWeb has been successful in large projects in China, Asia Pacific, as well as in the Americas and parts of Europe, clearly underlines customer confidence."
