Paperloop.com and ABB’s pulp and paper unit have formed an alliance to jointly develop Web-based solutions for the global pulp and paper industry. The companies aim to create technical information resources and customer applications, and to collaborate on B2B transactions for the industry.

The Weir-EnviroTech Pumps Canada division of Peacock Inc., Mississauga, ON, has changed its name to Weir Pumps Canada. The name change reflects Peacock’s acquisition of Warman International in Canada, and in late 1999, the acquisition by Peacock’s parent — the Weir Group of Glasgow, Scotland — of the Warman Group.
