A fire left one of Bowater Mersey Papers paper machines out of commission on June 1, The Chronicle Herald recently reported.

There was a fire in the exhaust system of number one paper machine at 4:30 this morning, The Herald reported spokesperson Robin Anthony as saying.

No injuries were sustained as a result of the fire, nor were any major damages inflicted. Anthony confirmed on the day of the fire that she expected the machine to be back up and running later that day.
