A fire at Canfor’s North Central plywood mill in Prince George, BC, has put the facility out of commission.

A fire at Canfor’s North Central plywood mill in Prince George, BC, has put the facility out of commission.

The fire broke out on Monday, May 26, and no one was seriously injured in the blaze. Fire crews, government officials and Canfor personnel were still on site one day later, as the fire was still smoldering.

An information session is scheduled for May 28, in order to brief mill employees. However, no decisions concerning the status of the operation have been made.
