A fire at one of its hydroelectric plants will partially shut down production at Minas Basin Pulp and Power, the Chronicle Herald reported.
Two hydroelectric plants supply power to the companys paperboard mills, however, Minas president Scott Travers confirmed the papermaking side of the operation will remain up and running, by purchasing additional power from the province.

The power generating side of the business is expected to be out of commission for two to three weeks, while repairs are made to the hydroelectric dam.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
