The Ontario Forestry Association (OFA) has initiated a partnership with professional forester associations across Canada to Invite a Forester into classrooms. The response to this initiative has been overwhelming, linking more than 110 foresters to classrooms across the country in its initial year.

This means that throughout the week of September 23rd foresters will be in schools across Canada, reaching students and teachers directly, providing career mentoring advice and highlighting the important work that foresters do to sustain our forests and our communities. Invite a Forester celebrates National Forest Week, September 23-29, and the theme of Healthy Forests, Healthy Communities.

The OFA is a non-profit, registered charity dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of all aspects of Ontario’s forests, and to fostering commitment to stewardship of forest ecosystems.
