Former Resolute pulp mill assets to be auctioned in Ontario

The equipment from the idled pulp mill in Fort Frances, Ontario will be auctioned off over a period of four days at the end of the summer.

Corporate Assets Inc. will hold an auction beginning Aug. 31 through Sep. 3 to sell the mill assets on behalf of Riversedge Developments, which purchased the mill from Resolute Forest Products last year.

Among the items up for auction are the complete pulp mill and production support equipment, three fine white paper machines, a stone-ground wood mill and related equipment, the wastewater treatment facility assets, equipment for electrical power distribution, machining and fabricating, rolling stock, and material handling, and more.

Inspection is by appointment only in Fort Frances. Purchased assets must be removed by Oct. 1.
