FPAC names EACOM Timber CEO as new board chair

EACOM Timber CEO and president Kevin Edgson has been name the new board chair of the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC).

Edgson’s 30-year career in wood products spans plywood, veneer, pulp and paper, and solid and engineered wood. He has held roles in finance and accounting, operations management, and sales and marketing in operations across Canada, including B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec.

Edgson began his current role of president and CEO of EACOM Timber Corporation in 2013.

“His deep knowledge and commitment to sustainability and growing the workforce of tomorrow will serve FPAC well in advancing the environmental and economic potential of Canada’s forest products sector and the communities and customers we serve,” FPAC stated, announcing the appointment.

Edgson has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Victoria, an executive MBA from the University of Alberta, and a certified management accountant designation.
