FPInnovations, Fisher offer benchmarking tool for bleached kraft pulps

February 21, 2018  By P&PC Staff

Feb. 20, 2018 – FPInnovations and Fisher International have teamed up to help Canadian mills benchmark the quality of their fully bleached kraft pulp.

A series of tests will be conducted to characterize the pulps and evaluate their papermaking potential, and the reports issued cover an array of bleached kraft pulps criteria and properties. Specific information pertaining to the mills, such as process conditions or type of end-use products for which the pulp is intended, will remain confidential, they say.

“Critical to your success is also the ability to bring to the surface essential data points that could drive your competitiveness and economic health, more specifically global benchmarking in cost comparison, total mill viability, and carbon emissions,” according to a press announcement from FPInnovations.
