Canadian engineering services firm Genivar Inc. has made an offer to all shares of WSP Group PLC, a multi-disciplinary professional services consultancy based in London, U.K. The transaction is expected to close on or about July 31, 2012.
Genivar and WSP intend to combine their respective expertise and geographic reach to create a world-class professional services firm with approximately 14,500 employees in more 30 countries, with a strong presence in Canada, Northern Europe (including mainly Sweden and Norway), the U.K. and the United States.
WSP specializes in building, transport and infrastructure, management and industrial, and energy and environment sectors, providing a full range of services from planning to design, delivery and asset management.
