The Freedonia Group, a research firm, found the world pharmaceutical packaging could increase 4.3% annually to $22.2 billion US in 2007. About 80% of the rise comes from the eight largest drug-producing countries: U.S., Japan, China, Germany, France, U.K., Italy and Switzerland. But China will have the most significant rise in their production. Meanwhile the U.S. will remain the largest consumer of pharmaceutical packaging.
