The Energy Savings Toolbox contains methodology designed to help industries identify energy savings and to capitalize on them. The guide was developed with input from provinces, territories and industry stakeholders, and provides a reference for understanding and managing energy use in every phase of an operation.

“The benefits of using energy more efficiently are very clear,” Lisa Raitt, minister of natural resources said. “Energy efficiency means fewer emissions and lower costs. But in a complex industrial operation, the savings are not easy to spot. With the Energy Savings Toolbox, Canadian industry now has a start-to-finish guide to managing energy consumption,” she continued.

The guide is free and is published on CD. It also offers a technical supplement with spreadsheet tools for costing and analysis. Visit http://oee.nrcan.gc.ca/industrial/technical-info/index.cfm?attr=24 for more information.
