Northshore Manufacturing has added a new group of wood handling attachments to its Builtrite product line-up: PG Series Pulpwood grapples. These grapples are designed for bulk handling of short wood at wood processing facilities. Key features include 360 continuous rotation on a heavy duty bearing with advanced, high torque motors and a high pressure hydraulic swivel, and oversize hardened cylinder and arm pivot pins with replaceable bushings.

Arms have optimum curvature for gathering and handling the maximum amount of logs, and arm tips are made from hardened, abrasion resistant material. The grapples also have hard facing on inside of lower grapple arms.

Options include heavy duty bunching chain for holding partial loads and bolt-on butt plates on one or both sides for evening out stacks of wood.
