Canfor has confirmed that PATCH BONKEMEYER, senior vice-president, operations, has left the company to pursue other opportunities.

Albany International announced that WILLIAM M. MCCARTHY, executive vice president, global planning, engineering and procurement, will retire from the company on September 30, 2007.

PRT Forest Regeneration Income Fund reported that CHRIS WORTHY, CA has tendered his resignation as a director of PRT, the Fund’s operating subsidiary.

KATHY ABUSOW has been named the new president and chief executive officer of The Sustainable Forestry Initiative.

Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation has hired industry veterans ANTHONY DIIENNO and SUZANNE WHITNEY to key posts in the company’s reclamation division. DiIenno will serve as director of high-grade procurement and will work out of the company’s Philadelphia, PA office.

Whitney will serve as director of national accounts working out of Smurfit-Stone’s Torrance, CA office. Both will report to Robert Curran, vice president of National Accounts.

Kadant AES Canada and Kadant Johnson Canada merged on July 1st to become Kadant Canada. MIKE SOUCY is the president, IRENE GOBEIL is VP of finance & operations and KEVIN GREEN is sales manager of Kadant Canada. ROCH CADIEUX and GAETAN PARISE will remain as advisors to the management team.

Louisiana-Pacific has named JAMEY BARNES as vice president, Oriented Strand Board (OSB) manufacturing, and MIKE BLOSSER as vice president of environmental, health and safety (EH&S).

Orchids Paper Products Company announced that at its annual meeting of stockholders DOUGLAS E. HAILEY, GARY P. ARNOLD, STEVEN R. BERLIN, JOHN C. GUTTILLA, JEFFREY S. SCHOEN and JAY SHUSTER, each an incumbent director, were elected to serve until the 2008 annual meeting of stockholders. At a meeting of the board of directors immediately following the annual meeting of stockholders, Hailey stepped down as chairman, and Shuster, a director of the company since December 2006, was appointed as chairman. Hailey will continue to serve on the board of directors.

PHILIPPE R. ROLLIER has been elected to the Sonoco board of directors.

Sino-Forest Corporation has appointed PETER WANG DONGHONG to its board of directors.
