ARNOLD M. NEMIROW, president and CEO of Bowater Incorporated has announced his intention to retire in 2006. He has served in the capacity of CEO since March of 1995. The board is currently conducting a search for his successor.

ROBERT M. AMEN, president of International Paper, is retiring after a career of 26 years with the company.

Also in International Paper news, JOHN V. FARACI, chairman and CEO of the company, was named to the United Technologies Corporation board of directors.

Koch Industries announced that DAVE ROBERTSON will assume the position of president and CEO upon the completion of the company’s subsidiary Koch Forest Products’ merger with Georgia-Pacific.

NINA E. BUTLER will replace CURTIS A. BARTON as vice president of environmental affairs at Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation, when Barton retires on April 30, 2006.

Neenah Paper’s board of directors has elected JOHN F. MCGOVERN to serve as director of the company. He replaces JAMES G. GROSKLAUS, who retired on November 3, 2005.
